       Obituary from the Bluffton, Indiana Newspaper, 
      February 20, 1947 
           John William 
      Adams, 83, 1015 West South St. (Bluffton) died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday at 
      the Wells County Hospital. Death was due to heart trouble and a stroke of 
      paralysis suffered four months ago.  
     He was born November 19, 1863 in Jay county, a son of 
      William G. and Barbara Fosnight Adams. He formerly lived in Nottingham 
      where he made his home for about 70 years before coming to Bluffton about 
      ten years ago. 
     Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Arlie Chenoweth of 
      Montpelier and Mrs. Margaret Adams of Oregon; three nieces: Mrs. Gerald 
      (Pauline) McIntire of Montpelier, Mrs. Charles (Violet) Penrod of 412 West 
      Wiley (Bluffton), and Claudine Chenoweth of Richmond, and one nephew, 
      Virgil Chenoweth of Keystone. 
     Services will be held at the McIntire home in 
      Montpelier with burial to follow at the Nottingham Cemetery.
