Patrick Langan had a
number of aliases, including Peter R. Langdon, Patrick Langan may have studied at the University of Dublin. Patrick Langan came to America from Ireland in 1869. After arriving in America, he lived in
Knoxville, Tennesse, He moved to Metropolis, Illinois, where he was arrested and convicted of larceny. In 1880, he was listed as living in Anna, Union County, Illinois. He is believed to have set up his practice in Kankakee in about 1882. He is listed in Kankakee city directories in the years 1896, 1898-1899, 1902, and 1904.
