Notes

In June 1849, Jacob's wife is residing in Camden East Township; it is not known if Jacob is there at this time as well.

In May 1851, Jacob was deeded 1 acre in east ½ CL 4/27 Ernestown Twp, by his father Elijah; Jacob is living there in January 1852, when the 1851 Census was taken.

In 1853, Jacob is involved in a land transfer of Ernestown CL 4/33, bordering on William St.

In 1857-58 Jacob is listed as being a millwright in Simcoe Falls, Canada West (Yarker).

Death records indicate that Jacob's wife (Anne or Hanna) died in Momence, Illinois, on December 4, 1898.

In 1900, Jacob is living alone in Momence, Kankakee County, Illinois.

Both the 1900 census and Jacob's death record list his occupation as wagon maker.

Jacob's death record says he died on December 10, 1902.  This record conflicts with the date that was inscribed on his gravestone -- February 20.

Jacob and Anne Forbes Benjamin's graves were recorded in 1976.
In 2004, their graves cannot located in the Beaver Creek Cemetery.
According to genealogist Wilman Davis, Jacob and Anne are buried
just south of brother Sidney Benjamin's family plot.
