Mary Benjamin Poelaert was one of the victims in a quadruple homicide. The other victims were her mother-in-law, Marie Poelaert, and her two young sons, Paul and Leo Poelart.
The four victims were buried next to each other in the Poelaert family plot in Riverside Cemetery.
