| In 1850, Washington and Mary
Morrical are living in Newcastle Township, Fulton County, Indiana.
They have three children living with them. They also have
19-year-old Jesse Fortner living with them (assumed to be Mary's brother). In the 1850s, Washington and Mary had two more children. Washington died in October 1858. After his death, three of the children, Jesse, Isaac, and Stephen, were sent to live with other families. It is not known where Washington was buried. Mary remarried, to Thomas J. Malone on November 5, 1859, in Marshall County, Indiana. In 1860, Mary Malone is living in Tippecanoe Township, Marshall County, Indiana, with two of her children: her oldest son, William, age 16, and her youngest daughter, Mary Ellen, age 2. In 1860, Mary and Thomas Malone separated. Mary gave birth to her last child, Robert J. Malone, on January 17, 1861. Mary died two months later on March 19, 1861. It is not known where she was buried. Robert Malone was raised by the Johathan Hutton family. |
