*August F. Johnk came to the United States from Germany, settling on a farm in Lincoln Township, Pottawattamie County, Iowa, where they lived all their married life. Their descendants have stayed in Pottawattamie County. August �Gus" F. Johnk came to the US in 1873 or 1874 and naturalized in 1884. *1910 Federal Census says Helen had 6 children, only 5 were living at that time. August was a farmer and owned his own farm. |
